New Year Block swap

Our parcel has arrived !! Thank you all, the blocks are lovely. Don't know what I'm going to make yet but think I'm steeling the chicken and the eggs for the chicken quilt I'm going to make from the other 2 chicken block swaps.

I was doing that too, and the chicken on point. I have been eyeing how to make it "off point" and think I have a plan.

Two quilters in this group @keepmumsane and @drakeschicks did chicken related blocks. Drakeschicks did a log cabin hen sitting on a nest on point, and keepmumsane did a crate of eggs. Both were awesome.

We are currently doing an actual chicken block swap now where all the blocks are going to be chicken related. It is being done in brights, the pics posted so far are amazing as always the quilters are outdoing themselves.

I am hoping to work the chicken blocks from this swap in, but may not be able to b/c of the color difference, it will just depend on if the colors work out or not.

My plan on these is to set it up in the style of a Sampler Quilt done w/ rows sort of theme rows.
So one row will have chicken related blocks, one row stars etc.
I'll then be challenged to make up additional blocks as needed to fill each row to my own satisfaction.

That is my plan...might be like 2016 b/f it happens but we'll see ; >
