8 now! 2 when I got up, so they are starting to pop!
2 are diff. so far that I can tell. Maybe a golden and a tibetan.

had to cull one of my chicks, he was way underdeveloped(was the onei had to help out) and just wasn't doing well at all.

i got no problem killing and butchering older birds for food...but culling a chick was hard.

This hatch is going well!!
18 Cots in the brooder now. 4 in the bator fluffing out.. and at least 5 more with pips going on.

It looks like I got a Roux Dilute or 2, 2 Tibetan, 1 Rosetta, and a baby that reminds me of a chipmunk! LOL! His color is very different with neat black marks. Pics later tonight!

Mibotsu, Sorry to hear about your cull...you did the right thing though, you saved it pain and suffering down the road.
Critter, Still waiting for the pics, congrats on your hatch!
I'm up to 43 chicks now, still hear some chirping in the hatcher and have a few pips...pretty stoked for winter eggs! Will try to get pics up sometime this weekend.

I haven't had a chance to get a phot. They've kept me busy! LOL!!! 12 more have hatched in the last 3 hrs. lol... One looks like it may be drying out, so I"m watching it. Humidity is at 66%, but the little guy seems stuck.
Plus I went on a cleaning spree in their room, oh the dust! LOL!

43 is great!! I'm waiting on photos too.

The lighter colored of the two is the one I call the chipmunk. There's something about his color and markings that make him stand out. What is it?

Thanks! I'm excited about this hatch.
50 of 62 made it to lock down. (a few were clear, a few early quitters.)
I kept forgetting to turn them, many a day they only got turned once, with all the Holiday rush.
and humidity dropped as low as 22 on one day!

I think there's 15 eggs left, 2 are showing pips, and were going on day 18. Got a few real nice colors/surprises too.

Looking forward to your pictures! Sorry to hear you've lost 2.

I love the little black freckle on their noses. (is it called the cere? I know it is on other birds)
