Yes there are three types of heterochromia but none of them apply to iris freckles (nevus).

That’s full heterochromia. You can also get sectoral and central heterochromia. Which are two different colors in the same eye.

Keeks, central heterochromia is what I was talking about ealier.

This is just from quick searches. They seem to be called 'eye freckles'. Some of the causes range from sun exposure to toxins. (Remember this is the internet). I would get an an opthamologist to look at it.
