New York

At the moment I have Speckled Sussex, Gold and Silver Laced Wyandotte's, Silver Spangled Hamburgs, Easter Eggers, Phoenix, and some good old fashioned mixes off all the above. I also have some Marraduna Basque that are in the incubator due next weekend along with some more of the barnyard mixes. I see you have my most current interest that being Brahmas out of all the chickens I have raised over the years I cant believe I have never had Brahma's. I am really excited about the Basque I hope I get a few to hatch they are my first shipped eggs and I started with 14 and am down to 11 but some of them have pretty messed up air cells so we will see next weekend.

Very cool! Yeah I love the Brahmas, my favorit! They are very sweet too... Cant wait to get some in the incubator! Tell me about your Silver and Gold Laced Wyandottes... I had some chicks that ended up being mostly roos, or with single combs.. Have a few more chicks coming up along with some silver laced... Hoping to have better luck with these ones..
Happy Chickens...

Unfortunately my SLW Roos got nasty so they had to go, they where nice looking birds just to aggressive. So all I have left are three hens. My GLW I have one rooster and two hens left I have lost several to a family of foxes. I have been fortunate with not having any single combs come up with either of these lines. I am considering getting out of the Wyandottes to focus on my Basque but its hard to give up on them they are great chickens both production and looks wise. I may have to add a couple coops. lol At the moment I have them all together as a barnyard flock.

Weve been fortunate to not get foxed yet but Im waiting for the day.... We see foxes in the horse pastures but have yet to see them only once near the chickens an the dog chased it off quick. Id be interested in your Wyandottes if you decide to sell so let me know when you make that decision.

Greetings!

I live in orange county of the Hudson Valley area. :)
I'm looking to buy two companion chickens for my sizable garden yard. Would anyone be kind to let me know of places in the Hudson valley area in Orange that sells live chickens? I'll also be taking a trip to Manhattan this month, and if anyone knows of chicken sellers/places there too I would greatly appreciate it.
