I am new to raising chickens and ducks. I have had chickens for a year and ducks for 2 months. I was asking my sisters about chickens but they free range their girls, live out of state and I live in the city with a small backyard with no grass. Water restrictions are sometimes mentioned so we are grassless.

I am not sure of the breeds other than 1 Americana, 1 Australorp, bantams, and 2 others I have no clue about (one is small like bantams but has feathers on her feet other is bigger and dark legs, almost black.) and 2 beautiful Peking ducks.

I found you out about BackYardChickens.com when I googled questions I had about chickens.

I have challenges with my ducks, I need a better swimming area for them and figure out feeding/watering. I spend hours feeding, watering and trying to fill large containers for the Peking's to clean off (no swimming pools). I did buy a pond kit (it has a filter)but I'm clueless in setting up/making it, however I feel they need a water zone that they can swim in all the time and it be clean. They have holes all over their 12x14 foot enclosure. Suggestions welcome and appreciated.

Welcome to Backyard chickens. For duck specific questions, I recommend you post on the Duck forum.

To sort out your unknown chickens - post photos at "what breed or gender is this?" the folks there will chime in with their opinions
Thanks that is really helpful. I’ll get photos of my 2 girls tomorrow and ask questions regarding the in the forum.
