Hey y’all!
I am new to chickens... as in we took the plung and bought 6 yesterday! I had to jump feet first otherwise I would have kept putting it off. Any pointers will be greatly appreciated! The breed is Cornish... no I’m not going to eat them. I was told they are good layers? Anyone know if that is true?

Welcome to BYC. The black chicks appear to be barred rocks. If pullets they will be good layers. The white Cornish X are meat birds and if allowed to live past their 'kill' date are prone to leg problems, heart attacks, and severely shortened life spans. Some folks extend their life span by severely controlling feed consumption. Wish you had come here prior to buying.
