1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I was raised with chickens. My grandmother always had hens for eggs and we butchered about 200 every year in April/May
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? about 30
(3) What breeds do you have? no idea
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? I like the eggs.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? We raise boer goats and we ride horses and I love to read
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. We live on 300 acres in eastern Montana - right outside of Richey. It is a super small community. There are only about 26 kids K-12 in the school. We raise Boer goats for showing and for meat. We have about 100 head right now. We also have 7 llamas for guard animals, three guard dogs, five other dogs, and 6 horses. My husband and I both work outside the home. He's a hot oil truck driver in the oilfield and I am a clerk at a grain company. We have three kids. Cierra, Kodi and Chase.
