Absolutely! It’s 60 sqft inside and I let them free range at times during the day, but we’ll definitely be expanding their run when we move. (It’s not the only, but a big driver in why we’re moving.) I’m still new to having chickens and have done research, but I’ve seen different requirements for space/chicken inside and outside. What do you recommend?Hello and welcome to BYC!Glad you joined.
Your coop is cute but it is actually too small for three birds. Do you have plans to upgrade?
I also want to grow the flock eventually, but I’m going to have to be super careful about that because I know ISAs are not exactly welcoming to new members. We have one in particular that can be a bit of a bully. The plan is to build another coop for the new girls and ensure both have large runs. Once they’re ready to move outside, we’ll see how they react to each other with hopes that we will can eventually move all of them in together. If it doesn’t work out, then each flock will have its own space. I still have a few months to plan; any tips are appreciated!
