Hi I'm HennB and am new to this site. We have been raising chickens for the last 12 months starting with 5 Silkies which all turned out to be females. Then we got Plymouth Rock's and Buff Sussex's. Last we added Australorp's. Some where hens and the others roosters. We have been able to have the Silkies raise to clutches of chickens 7 chicks in all and we were stoked about this - such a great experience to see these little mothers do their thing. We keep the Silkies separate from the other chickens - they are special to us. Thats all but have found a lot of useful info from this site over the last year. Thanks
