I just joined the sight. I have two Batam Sultans--rooster & hen. Would like to add to Sultan hens but they are hard to find.

You might try posting in your state thread to see if you can find local birds. https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread there are also some sultan threads, but both standard and bantam seem to be combined, you may be able to find a breeder who isn't on the state thread https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/272085/the-sultan-thread/1650 Some hatcheries also carry them if you want to ship chicks ie, Strombergs and Purely Poultry. And don't forget the BYC Buy-Sell-Trade forum, that have been advertised in the past if you want to search the archives.

Thanks for the information. I will follow-up on the leads you offered. We ivied in the suburbs and don't think the neighbors will tolerate more tha one rooster so we need to be sure that we get hens. Breeders tell us that they can't sex Sultans.
