I should have separated my broody hen from the other hens but I wanted to let nature take its course Out of the 12 eggs she was sitting on she hatched 4 2 were dead Now she and the 2 surviving chicks are in their pen and doing well I use 5 gallon buckets for their nests but I am changing that to something less confining Hay seems to work better than the pine shavings in the nest All in all it was a great experience and I can't wait to do it again Good luck NEWBEEEEEE's
