Hello everyone! I'm new to this forum but have been keeping hens for around 15 years.
Anyone else from NW Ohio?
We currently have 23 chickens, mix of layers and my new favorite BANTAMS!
Last fall we picked up 8 bantams from a local guy and just got 4 more today.
Currently they are all together but I want to separate them soon.
Never had any experience with roosters so my first question is how do they act when molting?
My little Dutch (named Dutch) looks pale with no energy. Is that normal?

Molting takes a lot out of birds. Feather growth requires lots of protein. Make sure he is getting enough high quality nutrition. Oh yeah,

Hi -- I am new here too! A new bird that acts or looks funny, could be sick. All the bantams that were with him might be better off separated + quarantined.
