Hi! Welcome to active posting on BYC! I think you can take care of chickens. Most of the time all you need to do is make sure their coop and water is clean every day and their food is fresh. The formulated feed at your local farm store, with oyster shell and grit on the side, is all they need for food. I use a flock raiser crumble for mine. If you start with 3 chickens, you'll make is super easy for yourself.
