Newbie chicken Mom with a lethargic hen

Hello, welcome to Backyard Chickens!:woot Climate and environmental conditions can always be a factor, where in the world are you located? Pictures would be helpful because it could possibly be a disease. I would ask in the "emergencies, diseases and cures" forum. If it happens to be contagious she will need to be separated to prevent it from being transmitted to the rest of the flock.

And sweet she is! I thought about that but she isn’t sitting in a nesting box - she’s up and around but not perky like usual

Good news then! Mine tend to go pancake mode when being broody, they kinda look like a reversed "starship enterprise".

Another way is to put an egg in front of her. If she rolls it under her, huge broody mode.
