Newbie Chicken momma here in FL

Hello,
Im am currenty new backyard chickens. I recently visited a friend family who owns a small farm. Ive always wanted chickens and now i have the perfect opportunity to get some hens, for laying only. My only problem is, Im in city limits. Does anyone know if Port st lucie allows chickens?

Hello BYC!
I'm new to the chicken community and live in port st lucie, fl; we have 4 chickens... 2 hens & 2 roosters
We have 2 Rhode island reds, 1 Plymouth rock and an Astralorp
It has been an adventure learning how to properly care for these guys and sometimes a bit overwhelming, but overall we love them. We've had our chickens since they were chicks and have watched them grow and develop their own little personality's.
We also have 2 dogs, a cat and 2 ferrets (can you tell im an animal lover?)
I look forward to meeting others in the area and sharing info, tips , etc.
