Hey! I’m new to chickens and started with silkies and black copper marans. Between the 2 breeds there is no telling who is who and I’m trying to be patient but I’m thinking out of the 3 BCM I have 3 Roos. They are 7 weeks but from pictures online of the same age they all seem to have larger combs. Any help would be appreciated!! Oh and one has yellow legs 🤦🏼‍♀️ #3 it is also the slimmest.
These are the most recent pics I have saved.

Personally I'd wait till they saddle up before rehoming to confirm they're cockerels.

My FBCM at 4 weeks had enlarged comb, & wattles that were more red then everyone elses.

She when she was at the same age as your's there had huge red comb, & wattles. I was pretty adamant that she was actually a boy, until she started laying. I originally thought slow to mature cockerel.

Thanks everyone! 3 of 3 is a little disappointing but I was thinking the same. We plan to keep one Roo so I’m going to hold out a little longer before rehoming. Either way I’ll be hunting for eggs to try again soon!

you should make a post on here when they are older to have a vote on which one to keep. pay close attention to their behavior so you can decide who is to go.

That’s a great idea, thanks! They are all pretty calm since it’s our first batch they have been handled a lot. They just made it outside since our weather is warm here in Florida. Going to have to find some decent fertile eggs and get a new batch going for hens which is the goal! I’ll keep track of them and plan to update 😊
