Newbie ChickenButt74 is Here

Thank you all for the warm welcome. It is really nice to be here. Been a long time since I have been on a forum like this. Will be fun. I do travel a lot for my job so my responses will be hit or miss, but thank you all again.

To the question, Where were her legs red, it is the back of both of her feet. From the bottom up. Looks just like the post on this board boy a previous member, who posted pics of his BO. I think she is okay. There has been no coddling of it or eating issues or roosting issues, etc... I am about to go give them all a bath though and clean up some pasty butts. I will be doing a checkover of their feet up close as well to check for any scaley mites or bumblefoot. Just want to make sure. :p Doting new mom here. BTW, avatar is Louisa! She is by far the bully of the brood, but she is also really easy to hold.

Welcome to BYC - this is a GREAT place to learn. I hope you are enjoying time with your new hens.
Ha, Im obsessed. I gave them all three baths last night, got rid of some pasty butts and cleaned their feet really well. Vents looked great and I am happy to report, they all have wonderful non issue feet. I am noticing what looks like a little bit of scaley leg. I did my research and I think it might be a mild case of mites and pretty sure they were that way when I got them. So, ordered nettex and heading to the local Coastal to pick up some spray for them today.
