Hey all i am new to the backyard poultry world and have decided i want ducks. I am from Tacoma Washington. I was set to pick up 4 cayugas yesterday but i guess the eggs didnt hatch :'( and now i am having a beastly time trying to start my flock! I am hoping to have either 4 cayuga or 4 ancona ducklings, 3 girls and a boy either way. But i cant seem to find anyone selling them in my area, or if they are they are straight run and i cant risk having a bunch of drakes. Anyone know of anyone near wa state with these guys? And anyone have any advice for a new duck person?

You could try posting on your state thread to see if anyone is near you. Just put Washington in the search box and it will pop up. I believe one of BYC's sponsors is Metzers, who has waterfowl ducks, geese, etc. Click on the "sponsors" brown box at the top of this page.
