I’m learning myself that shipped eggs can be a pain most of the time. Sorry to hear about your hatches but with everyone here I’m sure we can help you get it figured out. What kind of incubator are you using.

I don't think any of the 3 incubators I used are brand names they all came off ebay. All auto turn with eggs upright. I will try and post pictures of them. First batch I had trouble getting the racks out for lockdown and thought the time out of the incubator might have been the problem so for the next batch I had a 2nd incubator ready for lockdown. Temp and humidity were stable (even had 2 extra thermometer/hygrometer set up to moniter) but only a few pipped and hatched. I hadn't incubated eggs for a few years since the manual turn covatutto I used started to cook the eggs.

What's a 'poddy calf'?

Thank you. A poddy is a calf who for some reason the cow can't feed so we bottle raise them. Severe drought this year meant more mums struggled to raise their babies. I guess poddys are like incubated chicks in a lot of ways

The second incubator you have shown here is just like the one I have except mine is the 96 egg model so far I like it my first hatch out of it should start hatching in a couple of days then I got some more on the 5th and 10th going to hatch I have a December hatch along in the forum if you want follow along with us as we hatch
