Hi Everyone!

Our growing family are raising chickens for the first time.

We bought 5 x 1 day olds end of Dec 2016. My "girls" are now almost 11 weeks. 1 of my "girls" started crowing the other week!

We lost one Barnevelder at 4 weeks to a goshawk

.

We now have 3 Gold Laced Wyandottes & 1 Barnevelder.

We are also chook sitting my MIL's Isa Brown while they get rid of rats

Hi Mel,

It's great that you're getting the kids involved but what's your question exactly? By the way if you don't want to lose any more put a protective cover over the coop like a fruit tree net.
