Newbie from NJ Shore

Hi All! I have been wanting backyard chickens for years now. Last year DH finally said yes, but with an 8 month old at the time, we decided to wait a year. I now have 3 chicks coming in 2.5 weeks and may pick up another locally. I think I have picked breeds that will lay well and do well with my 4.5 year old and 1.5 year old daughters (who obviously will always be supervised with the chicks). Thanks for having me!
