Hi everyone Ive had this fond memory of going into my great-grandma’s chicken coop as a toddler(1950’s)and ever since I dreamed one day of having my own chickens.I now have come full circle as I have retired(RN) and have 5 chickens with plans for many more😉and would love all your opinions and input👍🏼

Congrats on your retirement! Chickens are a wonderful way to enjoy your golden years. Do as much research as possible, ask as many questions as needed here on BYC. And enjoy this new adventure!! :)

HI Buckeye!! I'm a retired school principal from Ohio....welcome to BYC! I am a newbie too and I don't have chickens yet....I plan to get them spring 2021. So I am at BYC every day trying to read and learn as much as I can. I can tell you...this is a great place to build your knowledge base....and a great place when you have a chicken related problem, too! The people here are friendly and extremely knowledgeable. So pull up a chair and get to know a few folks....we are so excited that you joined us!! :wee
