(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
Brand new to chickens, building a coop and run this week to pick up 12 hens from my nephew. He is being transferred and needs them gone ASAP. Nothing like jumping in!! Any and all suggestions on building a coop and run on the fly appreciated. Gotta keep this first one simple!

None, soon 12
(3) What breeds do you have?
Easter eggers I believe.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
Fresh eggs and every farm should have chickens, goats, turkeys and horses! Retired July2, so I finally get to be the "farm wife" I always wanted to be.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Horses (I have an aging herd) Canning, gardening. Want to make my own butter, cheese, yogurt etc.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
Raising a grand, retired nurse, 10 horses, 4 dogs, 91 year young mom who is still living independently and a husband that takes it all in stride! 46 years in a few days. I am very blessed.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
