Hello everyone. I am new here and wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and the crew. My wife (Donna) and I (Calvin), along with three kids, just got chickens for the first time. We are pretty excited about them. Here are the chickens that we have. 1 of them I don't know what kind it is so if anyone has info on it that would be helpful.

We have 13 Golden Comets

Thanks for letting me share.

Hi Calvin and Donna! I'm a nearby newbie from Floyds Knobs. Because I'm new to chickens, I have no answers for you regarding your unidentified bird. Instead I have questions!! (By the way, I love your Dominique and your Australorp! Those are two breeds I'm considering...I just think they're beautiful.) Since you guys are so close, I was wondering where you bought your chicks/chickens. Did you order them through the mail or find a local supplier?

Thanks!

this is the best site ever for chicken info, someone will come along soon and tell you what you have. I'm not very experienced with breeds

Welcome from Indianapolis. Sorry I am not great with bird ID. We will be having a meetup this weekend if you might want to come by. There will be people selling birds and a lot of BYC'ers here.
There is also a thread called Indiana Traders you may want to check out. Lastly, there is a thread listing the people here in Indiana. Message me if you need anything!

Welcome... almost looks like you have a Cinnamon Queen.

Beautiful birds!

We got the Golden Comets from an Amish family just around the corner from us. He had bought 120 chicks from a local supplier and was willing to sell me a few of them. I can't remember the name of the place he got them but will try to stop by their house tomorrow and find out for you. The 4 older hens we found on craigslist.
