Hello from Kansas. Been searching on here for over a year now reading and learning everything I could.
Finally taked the wife into letting me get chicks in March. Picked up 6 pullets at a local Atwoods farm and home.
It is amazing how fast they grow up.
Moved them into the coop I built in May and got my first egg July 9. Was so excited when I got home from work and found it in the nest box.
That excitement made me want to join BYC to share. I understand now why so many on here get excited when something new happens with there flocks and want to share. This is a great site for information and what I have noticed so far great people.
Thanks for letting me apart of it,
Kelly

Welcome to BYC! Please make yourself at home and we are here to help.

How "eggs"-citing about finding them in the nest! Yay!!! Congrats!

Glad you joined! Feel free to ask any questions.

Yes, those first eggs are very egg-citing, especially when they lay them where they are supposed to..in the boxes!!

Enjoy your new flock. I hope they continue to bring you great joy. :-)

Hello :frow and Welcome To BYC! Congratulations on those first eggs!

Welcome to BYC! Glad you joined our flock. I lived in northern Kansas for a time many years ago. What kind of pullets did you pick up?
