Newbie from South Carolina

Just dropping in to say hi... my wife and I semi retired to SC on a 62 acre farm. We have started slowly trying to get more self sufficient. Weve got a small garden going, fruit trees planted, tons of blackberries growing, and our next step (the reason I'm here) is chickens!!! I've already gotten a ton of information and really looking forward to learning from everyone here. Take care

Jury is still out but I'm leaning towards the larger breeds. We have the coop space and room for it. Any suggestions I'm open to input?!?!?!
