I'm from South Eastern Arizona. I've had chickens for almost a year now. Wow those things are addictive. We now have 15 hens, (most of them 7 weeks old or less), 5 ducks, and letting a friend house a turkey here.
After Google sending me here when looking up chicken stuff, I figured it was time to start an account. Especially as I needed to post a question on the emergency board...

glad you have decided to join us.

It does seem all searches lead us here.

Hope your emergency post gets good results.

Hi and welcome to BYC. As "all roads lead to Rome", so does google and BYC with chickens!

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - just type the name of your state in the search box.

All the best

Yes, most all chicken searching seems to show up
Backyard Chickens. You'll enjoy it. Give us a chance.

Now me being a curious kind of feller, I had to go over
and check you thread in Emergency.

I don't mean to laugh, but that's kind of funny. Bless their
three year old heart, they were just trying to help you. Hard
to be mad about that. I'd give you an answer, but I just don't
know. Never tried to drown a chicken before.

I hope it turns out all good for you, let us know.

Spook

Aparantly their grandfather, at the same age tried to help the chicks stay warm... by tossing them in the furnace (they had been kept in the furnace room because it was warm, and he didn't realize they weren't supposed to go IN the furnace)
