I love this site... I have learned so much already! My husband and I just added 3 chicks to our family. We have never owned chickens before and are learning fast as we go. We have one silkie (Annabelle -11 weeks), a barred rock ( Gertie - 9 weeks), and a buff orpington (Hazel - 9 weeks) Hoping they are all indeed pullets 
. We are already enjoying their little personalities so much. Hazel, the buff orp, is so friendly and cuddly. We've had them since they were 3/5 weeks old. Here are some pictures from when we first got them. I am a photographer and do not have any children yet so I'm sure I will end up with a ton of pictures of these cuties.
