Newbie Hello

Hi! After pestering for 5 years (I was first promised when we got a house, but we lived in bear country til last year) I finally got 8 ISA browns (aka my little French hens) this past spring: Daisy, Maisey, Phasey, Hazy, Crazy, Count Basie, Doris and Esmerelda.
They're joined by two shih tzus (one geriatric crank who could care less, one younger pup who is very sore that he can't taste them), one cat and soon to be one schnoodle puppy. We also have two pet classic cars but they eat less as they don't move.
Otherwise we are both big nerds who both grew up farm-adjacent. I'm angling for a lawn goat next; spouse votes for ducks.
