Newbie help!!!!

I have no chicken knowledge, being a newbie myself, but I just wanted to say that I really like your design. We are thinking of doing something similar, a larger house but elevated a significant amount above the ground--I haven't seen many houses larger than 4x8 that are elevated, and wasn't sure whether it would work. How big is your run? Why did you decide to do the metal part at the bottom? It looks cool.

The run is 20 x 20. My husband is a carpenter so this has been easy for him. We both wanted something big one in case we get more chickens later on way down the road or decide to start letting the hens hatch their eggs and two the house is tall because I'm tall and want to be able to get inside without crawling or hitting my head. We put it off the ground to try and help in the aid of predators because we live out in the country and the tim was put down for that reason also plus I wanted to add something a little extra to it. We still have to paint the house once we are done. Thank you also glad you like it
