Newbie here! Any ideas what I got from TSC?

Ehhh hard to say.We bought our LAST YES last bantams sat from TSC.They had a Red sexlink that had flown in with them lol. They are over run again. The standard's are down to .99 each here.was suprised they even had any bantam's left but Baaaaaaa I walked out with another 20 grrrrr. The first pic looks like a millie Fleur TSC both store's here seemed to got a lot of those this time.I bought 8 but lost one the other day :(sadly.I got 3 frizzle's and 2 cochin's in the last run Weeee and We bought some more gold sebright's and some silverduckwing's as well and think I may have gotten 2 black breasted red Oe's.You can look up the feather footed varietie's,Only silkies have 5 toes and black skin other will be cochin, frizzle, millie fleur etc.Congrats on your chicks they all nice looking birds.I think 1st pic millie fleur and 2nd Maybe silver sebright not sure. The one white in one pic almost looks frizzle with wings tipped up.The big one does look like a redsexlink (standard) to me.Anyone else chime in.

Well they are supposed to be standard size I think.I got some freebies one year from local mill and they dont' do bantam's so...But gave them to friend cause Ialready had over 200 bird's.The first 6 I bought at TSC this year they had bin labeled golden commet, red and black sexlink. Think I bought 6 sexlink cause they guy had no clue either they had to put a sign up said sexlinks had stripe down back.Baaaaaaaaa anyway they almost 2 months old now lol they all nice birds and all doing great.Only know what breeds I have raised before.Hubby bought another 12 supposed pullet's yea right 4 have comb's now lol. It's potluck basicaly.

"Golden Comets are not a true breed of chicken but they are a sex linked cross breed. They are specifically designed so that the chicks can be sexed as soon as they hatch. Male Golden Comets are a soft yellow color when they are born and the females are light red in appearance. A cross between a New Hampshire and a White Plymouth rock will give you a Golden Comet bird. This breed has not been given recognition by the Poultry Association."

yeah...I was thinking the 2 that my older son picked out were not bantams. They were just a little bigger than the other when we got them, but the have REALLY grown faster than the other 4. I agree too that they are soooo cute. How long will it be before I can tell if I have hens or rooster? Would it be ok to add few more to the group? One of the feed stores has pullets for sale that are roughly the same size.

I have 3 week olds that look like the 'other' large one. I'm assuming they are red or gold sex links. When DH came home from TSC with them he said they were RIR...well, they did not look like RIR chicks...I finally found photos that look like mine...RSL/aka Red Star on BYC Breeds.

I'm still not sure...out of the 6 two barely have a tail...other 4 have nicely feathered tails. Some have dark reddish streaks down their chest while a couple have golden streaks.

Guess I will wait and see what I have.

You got frizzles at TSC? wow. I dont know how many times mine has gotten bantams in, but the 1st time they called me so I could have 1st pick. They only got 20 in, 2 of which I doubt made it (they were so flipping teeny and cute, but 1 had a messed up leg, couldnt stand or walk, and the other was getting run over by the other larger chicks). They had 6 white silkies, which I got all. That was a color I hadnt ordered from ideal. Didnt see any cochins in the box even.

And someone mentioned earlier, green legs on a chicken? Is that an EE? I have a chick I dont know what it is and just noticed yesterday that her legs looked green.
