Newbie here! Chicken on the "Runs"

6 weeks ago I adopted 2 Buff -Orpingtons which were 10 weeks old at the time - sisters. For the last 6 weeks, the smallerof the 2 has had the "runs". I thought that maybe if it was worms that the other sister would have got it by now. I was waiting for it to clear up or for the other one to get it so I would know it was worms........ but in 6 weeks this hasn't happened.

Both are very healthy but the Chicken on the Run is a size smaller.... but still very healthy looking.

So what do you think? Could she have worms?

I recently acquired 2 buff orpingtons myself, they were about 8 weeks old and had the same exact problem. It might be something eaten as they scratch around or a treat you are giving. I wouldn't be too concerned, you might want to just give some electrolytes or a spoonful of yogurt. You can use pediolyte or gatorade, just cut it with water.

What are you feeding?

What is your weather?

What is the color and general consistency of the smaller hen's droppings? - are they mucous-y, or yellowed, or contain red flecks or even blood, or are they just watery? Is there any white cap? Are they bright green?

Oh Poop what a wonderful thing! And i only thoght I talked about babies poop with other moms!

This sister's poop is all carmel colored and just liquid..... and when it dries on my patio it's like black tar that won't come up!

This is been happening for the last 6 weeks. We have had 80 degree weather until ths week.... now it's 50-60.

Thye are free range....... so a bt of everything. The at night when they are put up, they eat pellets in thier feeder.
