Newbie here, have a few questions

We had one chick to hatch out on a Tuesday (the other eggs did not hatch). We then got 8 more chicks that Saturday, 2 of these chicks were a week old and the other 6 were a day old. Brought them home and placed them in with our lonely chick. Everyone is doing great. I did notice that the few days we had only one, she was very loud. When she could see you she would quiet down and be content. We placed a stuffed animal in with her and she would cuddle up to it to sleep. So cute. Since she has been with the other chicks she is not as loud. So I don't think it would be a problem as long as you are willing to spend extra time with her and give her something to cuddle.

Hmmmm I ask because I'm pretty sure (will know FOR SURE tomorrow after I call) that each feed store has the different breeds I'm considering and unfortunately neither has all...but will double check that tomorrow...

If I did end up getting just one to start and another one a few days later, I would for sure give it a feathery cuddle item and would probably keep it in a set up inside the house where it could see me for most of it's time...and then when the other one came, move the two (or three) into the garage in a bigger set up...

Can you handle them TOO MUCH when they are only a few days old?
