Hello all!
So glad to have found this site - on a random 'google' search!
I stay in the Highlands of Scotland, out in the country. I am 37, married with a little girl. Our neighbours have hens and cockerels, and they run down to us every day, and we thoroughly enjoy feeing them! I am a veterinary nurse, and never been around hens before! Although we do not have any of our own, we are thoroughly enjoying getting to know our neighbour's hens and cockerels! They sure do have characters! One of the cockerels, a Shamo is named "Big Craig", and after about 1 1/2 years of feeding them, i managed to get him to eat out of my hand the other day!
My 3 year old just loves him, and "Hamish", and the hens too! Such good fun!
Anyway, just a quick hello!
Don't know anything yet, so going to peruse, and learn!
Hope to have our own hens/cockerels soon!
Julie
