This site has been sooo helpful that we decided to join! We ordered hatching eggs on ebay. They journeyed over 1000 miles and 1 was 9 days old before we got it! We have 1 sultan, the older egg that is moving great on day 17, 4 sizzles of which only 1 has no movement and doesn't seem to be alive, and 4 silkies, 3 of which were fertilized 1 was an unfertilized egg. We are using a farm innovators incubator with an automatic egg turner. Temp is between 99F and 100F with 3 thermometers, 1 of which we can read from a different room. We have been maintaining relative humidity between 30 and 45. It's pretty dry in here, with humidity only at about 23 outside the incubator. We candled a few times but mostly just maintained the necessary temp and humidity levels. We are hoping to have a successful hatch in less than a week. Going now to review the "lockdown suggestions" on byc, and get a brooder box ready for our teeny tiny soon to arrive chicks. Thanks byc, this is a wonderful site and it's helped us a great deal already! We love all of the wonderful suggestions, ideas, and advice from the other members!
