Hey yall! I LOVE this site! Did NOT know there were so many other real chicken lovers! I know chicken "owners" aplenty here in W. Kentucky, but it's a special kinda person that truly LOVES them like I (and obviously YALL) do!

Little story: I raised chickens in the country for many years in my 1st marriage, along with 3 children. I divorced 8 years ago; he took the house. We had to move and could not find another place in the country so my children and I moved to the nearby rural town, having to sell all our feathered sweeties because my ex decided to be a #@*#!! about them. The kids and I have always hated it!

I remarried a couple years ago, to a man who also came from the country, and my husband moved in with me and my children so that they could stay in their school.

Our family just would NOT "gel" so after many discussions, we all agreed that it had mostly to do with us all being unhappy "in town". So we set out to buy OUR place in the country. We found a wonderful home several months ago and bought it. Its truly perfect, except it doesnt quite have the acreage we wanted. We wanted about 15, but settled for 7 because it's big "enough" and the home, BARN, and location ARE perfect for us.

Long story short: We are a family finally! But we just weren't...quite...complete. Sooooo, about 2 months ago, we added 25 lovely feathered sweeties to our family!! (along with a goat, 2 pot bellies, 2 horses, and a jack!) I would name them all off for yall here, but well, thats just way too much to type OR read! Our family has changed SO MUCH, for the good, no GREAT. And though it's not owed totally to our chickens, I do give them some of the credit, because they, along with the "country" have bonded us as a family.
Im looking forward to sharing the fun with all of yall here! Thanx for havin me! And yall come now, hear?
