Good Morning! My family and I have always enjoyed chickens and as of this spring we finally have our own little flock.
We currently have 11 chickens, varying in age and breed. We started out with a few, expanded to 16, lost one, culled 4 cockerels (I accidentally mixed up the definitions for "pullet" and "straight run" woops!).
One Buff Orpington, Peeper
One Silver Laced Wyandotte, Henny Penny
Three Polish, Dude (rooster), Snowflake & Dingdong
Two Easter Eggers (sold as Americanas but look nothing like pics), Millie & Tillie
Four Bantams (various colors, needing to learn more about them), Poe, Peanut, Berry, Delton.
RIP Chipet (RI Red), Bello (bantam), Ello(bantam), Idgy(polish), and Doh-Doh(polish).
I was referred to BYC by a few friends as well as a google search.
Our family enjoys being outside, DIY & crafty projects, boating, skiing, as well as hobby horse owners, occasional puppy/kitten litter foster family, and overall animal lovers.
