Mine is the opposite. I usually have more egg's than I can eat. My next door neighbor get's my extra egg's, and then bring's me feed for the flock. Good trade, huh? :D
That sounds ideal. I just read on a FB post about a barter agreement where the egg recipient cleans the coop in exchange for eggs.

My DH and I were in a similar situation. We went Paleo and between the two of us, we eat 3 1/2 dozen eggs a week on average. So we got a flock of 9 pullets and one cockerel. One pullet ended up being a cockerel and another pullet had to be euthanized due to cancer. Then in came three more pullets and we have plans to expand our coop and get more. If anyone goes broody in the spring we are going to let her raise a brood. Oh boy! That chicken math hard at work.
Enjoy your flock when you get them. You've picked some really nice breeds.
