Hi Tonya! Thank you for the feedback :) our run is predator proof, you just can't see the wire very well because I took the photo inside. It is fully enclosed with wire and not entry at the roofline and or at the floor. They are safe and sound in there 100%! I see in this picture it does look like it is all open, but it isn't :)
Yes, I can see the wire. The chicken wire. Chicken wire is not predator proof. It is very easily torn by many predators. Even raccoons can pull it apart with their teeth. 1/2" hardware cloth is predator proof when properly attached to framing members. Weasels can squeeze through chicken wire.

No do not allow them to sleep on the roof at night as predators could break in at night and kill the birds. If you have to keep them somewhere else at night until the bigger coop is built, that is fine too.
