I'm not a chicken farmer, but a pair of muscovy ducks, and for a short time, a guinea fowl, decided my backyard is a nice place. I live in Southeast Virginia, and have always made a habit of encouraging wildlife. I also see a lot of mallards, and the occasional owl, eagle or osprey, as well as lots of normal backyard birds. Opossums, raccoons, snakes and rabbits are frequent visitors. I live on a smallish body of water, and on the other side, I've seen a lot of deer, and just one coyote in 30 years.
