Would like to say hello to everyone and I look forward to learning more about raising chickens for this will be a first. I am a UF graduate with a certification in Pest Control management and a Bachelors in Entomology. I have been growing extensively in my oversized yard some of the choicest veggies you can grow for over 3 decades in Southwest Fl zone 10. I have always wanted to raise chickens so decided this was a great time to start. I have been studying this subject endlessly for a very long time and the pluses to raising chickens is tremendous for I will have some choice compost and fertilizer for my in ground crops and will have the cycle balanced in a big way and will be able to cut back on synthetic fertilizers as another bonus which is also what I have done for a living a very long time. I am getting my coop decided on now and all the rest while I wait for my Chics! we all know what the supply is like now.
