Hi there! New to the group but have been frequently visiting for my questions. I was apart of a Backyard Chicken group on facebook and it just felt super judgemental. I had asked a question and everyone kind of jumped down my throat. I am new to the chicken world but I did raise ducks years back. We currently have 15 chickens. They are going to be 7-8 weeks old this weekend. My friend hatched the eggs for us and I am still learning the breeds. But it looks like we have a few Rhode Island Red and Americauna mixes, one Legbar, an Orpington, and I have a couple Lavender Americauna mixes. Kinda cool. We are getting them ready to head outdoors to their coop. My husband and I live on 5 acres of land and we enjoy the outdoors. We want to start gardening next year, too. We have two dogs, a Golden Retriever and a mix (Great Pyranees/St Bernard/Newfoundland). We are excited to learn and watch our chickens grow! Excited to be apart of this group!

Hi, sounds like you have a fun mixed flock! Any time you'd like to share pictures, we'd like to see them. Make yourself at home here and always feel free to ask questions.
