Hi everyone,
I have been lurking for a few months, reading everything I could. I LOVE this site! I've always wanted to try chickens for eggs and bug control (I have horses too). This site has been greatly helpful. I got my first chickens three weeks ago, was going to get Barred Rocks and Orpingtons. When I went to the feed store they had everything BUT, so I got 12 assorted pullets (?!) ... 4 Wyandottes, 2 EE's, 3 Columbian/Rock cross, 2 Speckled Sussex and one Black Austalorp The next week they had the BR's and BO's, so I picked up 4 BR's, 3 BO's and another EE. Somehow now I have 20 chickens! None to 20! ..it's just crazy! I'm loving watching the little ones grow and change, now I can't wait to see how many are Roos!
