(3) What breeds do you have?

(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
Cruising the net.

Hunting, fishing, hiking, swimming

Take a spin around the site, I'm sure you find something that interests you. The Learning Center is a great place to start. You can also post on your state thread , at " where am I, where are you," in the social forum.

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! The learning centre is a great place to start as drumstick said for lots of articles on getting started with some research. Here is the link for the getting started section ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/getting-started-raising-chickens

I'm sure once you have your toe in you will be diving straight in.
Be sure to ask any questions that you may have, everyone here to help and very friendly.

Enjoy BYC :frow

Hi,

I'm also new to the forum :) I know you don't have any chickens at the moment, but when are you looking to get some?

Claire

Thank you everyone for the warm welcome! It's great to see a forum where everyone appears to "play nice" together!
Clair, I'm trying to order a pre-fab coop this weekend and probably order chicks too. I found a plan for a brooder box made from a plastic tub that looks easy to make. I'm in Texas do the temperature is already in the 90s here.
