Newbie in all things chicken

Hi,

In April I got my first chicks from the local feed store, they are about 20 weeks old and my biggest hen (at least I think she's a hen) had started crowing....am I missing something? She is the friendliest of the three, will eat out if my hand and come toward me when I call...she def is the top bird as the other two follow her everywhere....could I have a rooster instead of a hen here?

from California! Can you post a pic of your chickens? It sounds like you may have a rooster.
