Newbie in Illinois

Hi all,
I am new to the site and to chickens. I am wanting to start raising chickens for meat and eggs. After researching several breeds I have decided on the Buff Orpingtons. I am now in the Coop building stage and was referred to this site. So I am hoping to find some good ideas on building a coop as the $700 coops at our farm store that are made for 5 or so chickens isn't going to cut it for me lol. I am eager to read and learn as I want to do this right.
