I have been lurking and learning for several months and figured I best introduce myself in case I have questions! We built a small backyard coop and have 2 australorps, 2 cuckoo marans and 1 light brown leghorn pullet out there that are about 7 weeks old. I also just got 2 lavender partridge silkies from a fellow BYC member and 2 EE's and a gold laced wynadotte came yesterday. I am also on day 4 of incubation on 13 black and blue splash ameracauna eggs from another BYC member! (Won't be able to keep all of them if they hatch!) My hobby is quickly becoming an obsession and I love my chickens! My fiancee and I also have 4 dogs, 6 cats, 2 ferrets, 2 rats and always some foster critters from the local humane society. I have learned a ton so far and love reading posts for new info so thanks everyone for sharing all you know!
