Newbie in Nevada. Back yard goose momma!

We just acquired our first African Goose. Gosling to be honest! "He" we call it, 'cuz we don't really know, has about a million names already. Hehe! Ducky, QuackQuack and Cheepcheep. We love "him" already, but, because, he's a loner, he wants to be in mommy or daddy's arms. LOL

Anyone who is interested in sharing tips, advice and info would be greatly appreciated.

Geese are social animals and do need a partner. I think he'll probably be fine if you can spend a lot of time with him.

Yay! Thanks for the reply! We know "he" needs a partner, but, this lil guy was a dumpee. So, we're in search now...
Hopefully we'll find him a playmate in the next few days...
Do you know if it will scar the lil one for life, if he doesn't have a "mate" right away?

We always end up with the "ugly duckling" sort of pets. Either, the runt, last of the litter, handicapped, or just not wanted...
And our little guy, seems to be perfect, but, was the only goose in a group of turkeys.
