you sure came to the right place. The Learning center is a great place to start. You will also want to check on the threads on Raising backyard chickens, predators /predator proofing , incubation and hatching, etc. etc. It's all there - just a few clicks away.

If you go to" where am I, where are you," in the social forum you can locate and post on your state thread.You can ask about the breed and see if anyone local has some.

I am reading so much on these forums that I am starting to get scared of owning chickies. There is just so much information and so many things that can go crazily wrong!

But, there is also a ton of information on here teaching me so much and getting me even more interested in these birds. I just read a thread on hatching chicks in a cup!
