ThreeLittleRedHens
In the Brooder
Hello everyone.
I am new to being a chicken mum. I have three 14 week old red hybrid Hyline chickens, bought three weeks ago. My husband and I are dairy farmers in the South Island of New Zealand. The hens now joining our menagerie of five-hundred dairy cattle and three pet cats.
I have never kept chickens before. I bought a small kit set chicken coop with an attached little run. A portable chicken fence is now erected around the coop creating a large ‘run area’ (wings clipped). The coop is located at the rear of our garden.
I hope the chickens are happy here? I’m enjoying listening to their ‘chicky chatter’. I look forward to learning about their care etc from this group. Thank you for letting me join
